WAN Intelligence
Whilst simply installing Sangfor's WAN optimisation equipment will instantly make a considerable improvement to the performance of a WAN, for many customers this is not enough. They need to monitor the effectiveness of the network, look for hold ups, manage bandwidth to ensure critical jobs complete on time and generally increase processing efficiency to the highest possible level. This is achieved through a number of provided web-based management tools, which will:
- Identify improvements by analysing traffic flows so that applications using a disproportionate amount of resources can be highlighted and inefficient utilisation can be determined and resolved
- Control traffic flow over the WAN by setting rules and policies that correctly prioritise network traffic
- Manage bandwidth and data priorities so that critical data is delivered first and less important applications get a lesser priority, ensuring quality of service is maintained
- Accelerate slow transmissions through the use of acceleration proxies and by making better use of bandwidth
All management tools have default settings so that benefit can be achieved from the outset with no need for any alterations. However, to obtain maximum effectiveness, the various output reports of network usage and traffic can be analysed and settings can be adjusted over time to deliver the best performance for a business.
